Itzamà has decided to position itself as a facilitator for technology and knowledge transfer to emerging countries, with the objective of contributing to the development of a world economy at low carbon footprint but high local benefits.

Getting access to innovative financing mechanisms introduced by the U.N. such as Kyoto flexible mechanisms (CDM/JI), Itzamà promotes investments in new technologies and in alternative energies leveraging the need of industrialized countries to reduce their carbon emissions and contributing to Energy Independence of emerging countries.
